Following a hiatus of several years due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, the carnival marks an important milestone in the re-establishment of Army AFL. More than just a competition, the event will provide an opportunity to rebuild networks, identify and develop talent, and lay the foundations for the future growth of the AAFA program. As Army sport attempts its return to full participation, the 2026 Regional Carnival will play a key role in revitalising AFL within the Army, fostering esprit de corps, teamwork, and a renewed pathway for players to represent Army at higher levels of competition.
